bio bags: reducing the waste stream

Many people are now toying with degradable plastics, but not all are created equal or decompose equally. Plastics are creating litter everywhere, especially in our oceans and kill off marine life that ingests or becomes caught it some form of plastic. So why not do something simple and change your household trash bags? BioBags have created a 100% compostable and 100% biodegradable bag technology for lawn and garden, kitchen, pet waste, shopping bags (which grocery stores should catch on to) and more. They use a technology developed in Italy, called Matter-Bi from non-genetically modified starch and is the worlds first completely compostable and bio-degradable bio-polymer. They have compostable units for sale on their site too. I have found that the if you use a tall trash can in the kitchen the lawn and garden bags work the best, they are somewhat more heavy duty. Its a step in the right direction!
