spetses greece: wanderlust

Ah greece...easy language to learn, beautiful mediterranean climate, olives, ocean, yachts, lattes, ferries, stone architecture...oh how I should relocate. Atheneans like to take weekends off to relax and many do so on the nearby island of Spetses. I'd highly suggest staying at the Orloff Resort, owned and operated by a very cordial local man. His girlfriend who has impeccable taste did the interior design. The breakfast selection and general atmosphere is modern and delightful. You must go...but be forewarned...the taxi drivers drive like f-ing maniacs.

Yes, I found it quite easy to adapt to the symbols--if only I could have stayed on longer....it was a magical place. I'd also suggest staying in Gilfada while in Athens, just a bit south of the city it is a fun neighborhood--chic. Now it is easy to navigate the city post Olympics and all of the train systems that are now in place.
