henna tattoo

Henna tattoos or mendhi the traditional indian art of temporary body art is something that I could go for. I love tattoos, just not on my body. I can appreciate the artistic value, the permanence on the other hand is not my cup of tea. The Earth Henna website carries all the supplies you will need and offers a small sampling of gallery photos to get you going. Henna is a natural dye made from the leaves of a tropical shrub bush and the paste is sometimes mixed with eucalyptus or clove oil for a cooling effect on the skin. It is applied with a bottle with a tiny metal tip to create a small line width upon the skin. I have heard that the final design is sprayed with a lemon juice and sugar solution, so that it sets the design to last longer-the tattoo usually will last about two weeks. Ultra feminine and beautiful!!
