A couple of years ago, I met a very inspiring artist at the annual Boulder Open Studios. Her name is Laura Tyler and she is an apiarian wonder (in other words--a friend to the bees or a beekeeper). She creates art using some of the wax and working in the artform called encaustic (using wax). Mixing glorious colors she makes forms based on the pathworks of bees as they gather nectar to use for making honey and then return to the hive and play out their 'dance'/directions to the flower nectar. So, recently when trying to find her on the web (and so happy that I am a collector of her art) I was surprised to find out that she is now putting some of her talents towards filmmaking. Read about her projects and artwork here.
