tom dixon ecoware: bio plastics

Ecoware a line of bio plastic dishware by British designer Tom Dixon is made of a bio-degradable plastic from bamboo fiber. The line comes in a rich chocolate color and is sustainably made from 85% bamboo with a binder made from a water-soluble polymer. After 5 years the Ecoware objects can be composted back to the earth. There is some controversy however about whether polymide, the binder actually is biodegrades.... a step in the right direction.
