d.i.y. wednesday/bricolage (french for d.i.y.): spring tree

With the vernal equinox yesterday March 20, the sun was over the earths equator spending equal time above and below the horizon. This marks warmer days, more daylight and best of all flower blossoms. The Spring Equinox is also known as: Alban Eilir, Eostar, Eostre, Feast of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Festival of Trees, Lady Day, NawRuz, No Ruz, Ostara, Ostra, Rites of Spring, and the Vernal Equinox. Neo pageanism, or whatever you celebrate, spring is upon us. Springtime is seen as a time of growth, renewal, of new life (both plant and animal) being born, and of the cycle of life once again starting. Why not then fashion a beautiful spring tree, a festive decoration for the table centerpiece, of forced flower branches and eggs or pipe cleaner carrots.
