yasue maetake: sculptural wonderment

To See the Moon in Exile, is Yasue Maetake's solo New York show of four mixed-media sculptures & a video. Theatrical tree-like assemblages of steel, copper, resin, and silk and photos, represent humans attempt to master nature. Her work also plays off of humans nostalgia of eden-like existence to perform ritualistic activities outdoors in natural settings. The show runs through April 28.
