solar decathlon: go boulder!

Like the Olympic decathlon, the Solar Decathlon hosted by the US Department of Energy consists of ten contests. 20 college teams from around the world compete. Go Boulder!-(top picture), the University of Colorado was the last winner in 2005 (Decathlon held once every two years). Each contest analyzes how humans use energy in our daily lives—at work, at home, and at play. Each team designs and builds an energy-efficient home powered exclusively by the sun. The houses must also power an electric vehicle to meet household transportation needs.
Each contest is scored and the winner is the best overall.
