parans: fiber optic solar lighting: sweden

We have all heard of borrowing energy from the sun, but redirecting light from the sun is another green building solution. The Parans company from Sweden is "reintroducing the sun" by redirecting natural light into a building structure using fiber optics. This innovative building solution also a greener solution for energy savings and can lower the utility bill of a building by 20 – 25 percent and the emission of greenhouse gases by 10 – 15 percent.

Full spectrum light is healthy for you by triggering the ganglion cells, increasing levels of melatonin and cortisol. Injecting natural light into a workplace increases productivity from 6 – 16 percent. The Parans system is a turn key product line: first sunlight is collected by Parens Solar Panels outdoors, the light is brought indoors with fiber optic cables and healthy natural sunlight is emitted through Parans Luminaires. They call their technology, "Fiber Optic Solar Lighting". Ah, now we know the secret of the Swedes.
