green roofed university building: nanyang singapore

The School of Art Design & Media in Nanyang Singapore, by CPG Consultants Pte Ltd, is a five story construction with a lovely green roof. It blends seamlessly with the surrounding wooded area and the green roof planting helps lower the roof temperature and surrounding areas. It works as a functional park like space, easily accessible at ground level.

this is so much like Hundertwasser's work, Austrian architect-painter. He built a whole village in this way. I think it is called Bad Blumau.

I think this is one of the coolest buildings I have ever seen. Perfect surroundings for laying in the grass and studying...would be fun in the winter too... snowboarding down the building...well maybe not in Singapore ;-)
