elisabeth nossen: reclaimed furniture design

Elisabeth Nossen from Norway created her Topi Footstool by reinventing a stool from the Salvation Army thrift shop. Part of her impetus is that next year “the disposal of textiles in the garbage will be illegal in Norway”. The Topi Footstool was part of the 100% Norway exhibition.

That's really pretty. I'm sure the roses are made from leftover fabrics and it would fit right in for a vanity stool. Great idea.

This is gorgeous! Really inspiring, I could see something like this made out of old t-shirts. Love your blog by the way, just came across it this morning!
