testlab: studio jo meesters: recycled furniture

Studio Jo Meesters presented Testlab during Dutch Design Week, a group of furniture prototypes created by using discarded materials, highlighting the studio's focus on sustainability. Meesters aims to imbue his projects and products with an emotional value. Work in the Testlab, the Odds and Ends, Bits and Pieces collection, included jars made out of paper and shelving, seating and a bed made from 16 leftover blankets and 34 discarded wooden beams. The ongoing experimental project TESTLAB aims to reuse discarded materials by combing craftsmanship with mass production techniques to create new types of furniture.
