amy flynn: fobots: found object robots

Raleigh North Carolina artist Amy Flynn reinvigorates old billiard balls, faucets, blades, vintage tins, keys and handles, springs, etc..After more than two decades as an illustrator Flynn decided it was time for another hobby and the 'Fobots' -found object robots were born. She solders and bolts them with care to give them each one of a kind personality. Salvage from flea markets, basements, internet auctions, and scrapyards gives her interesting junk content for the bots.

Each Fobot is numbered, with a copper plate on its back bearing the word "FOBOT" and its individual number. We call them butt tags. Warning: Fobots are not toys, they are not functional-just art.
